HWH Approved, Non Toxic Fashion Brands

Why Is This Important?

Did you know that the fashion/textile industry is one of the most harmful industries to human and planet health?

Synthetic fabrics are made from polyester, a product of the PETROLEUM INDUSTRY.

There are a few routes toxins can take into our body. These include INGESTION, INHALATION, and DERMAL ABSORPTION.

Our skin is our largest organ and can absorb certain chemicals through dermal (skin) absorption. This is a cause of concern when wearing toxic clothing made from petroleum byproducts and other ones treated with stain guard, waterproofing, and other things chock full of chemicals like PFAs, pesticides, phthalates, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and toxic dyes.

My BEST TIP is to wear clothes made from natural fibers as much as possible. GOTS Certified organic cotton is my fave.

So glad I discovered this brand recently because their organic cotton, non-toxic, and sustainable clothing options are so good. Just look how cute this Button Down Shirt is pictured here!

The Thea Romper from Laude The Label is possibly one of the "summeriest" pieces I’ve seen. I need to get my hands on this now; wouldn’t it be perfect for a Europe trip?

It’s not often that you find a sustainable denim brand. I am most happy about this brand offering organic cotton and non-toxic clothing options. Keep in mind sustainable doesn’t [always] equal non-toxic!
